From our fields, to our pigs, to your plate.
Four generations of pig farming in Essex, a genuinely circular farm to fork model, and a consumer brand that puts our pork on plates across the region. This is how we farm and why it matters.
The pork we produce starts in our own fields. We grow the grain, we mill it on-site using solar-generated electricity, and we feed it to our pigs. The manure goes back to the soil, the next crop goes back to the pigs, and the pork goes on to nearby abattoirs and into Procter's Sausages, the Ipswich-based brand we acquired in 2024.
It is a circular model. It keeps food miles low, it keeps our soil healthy, and it gives us full sight of the journey from seed to sausage. It is also the reason the farm won the National Pig Awards Sustainable Farming Award in 2024. Below is how the model works, the pigs themselves, the sustainability detail, and where to find the finished product.
Farm to Fork
Crops grown here. Grain milled here. Pigs fed here. Manure returned to the soil here. Pork on to nearby abattoirs and into Procter's. The model, in detail.
