We have grown the contracting side of FJ Bosworth & Sons steadily over the last few years, investing in the equipment that other businesses need but do not always want to own. Today we offer a full range of agricultural contracting services across Essex, from primary cultivations right through to crop spraying, run by operators who have spent their working lives on the land.
Every operation we run uses RTK guidance. That means accuracy down to a couple of centimetres on every pass, less overlap, less wasted input, and a finish you can see in the field. It is how we run our own farm, and it is how we run yours.

Contracting across Essex.

We first employed F J Bosworth & Sons as contractors back in August 2023 to undertake the application of slurry from our dairy on various fields around the farm using their umbilical setup. Their standards, timeliness and output have continued to impress since that point that we now use them for other operations we require. Further investment from them into other machinery such as their 24 metre dribble bar (for keeping the tractor in our tramlines) has resulted in F J Bosworth & Sons now being the only contractor we use for all slurry applications. In addition to applying all our slurry we also use them for applying Avadex and have found them to communicate and work with our drilling dates very well for this time-critical operation. Further operations they have undertaken include grass being direct drilled with their impressive Weaving GD4801T and some hauling of product with their new Storth tanker.
